Self-forgiveness and Healing

“Forgive yourself for what you have tolerated in the past, but decide that you will tolerate it no longer.” -Ibbie

It’s okay.⠀

We’re human.⠀

We slip up.⠀

We get caught up in places we don’t need to be.⠀

We give too many chances.⠀

We abandon ourselves in the process.⠀

We beat ourselves up about it then realize that does absolutely nothing for us.⠀

It doesn’t change the past. You can’t change the past. ⠀

Instead focus on what you CAN do with your NOW.⠀

How can you move forward as a better version of you?⠀

It starts with 2 decisions:⠀

1. The decision to forgive yourself.⠀

2. The decision not to tolerate less than you deserve any longer. ⠀

Maybe you didn’t know any better.

And if you did, maybe you just thought your situation would be different. ⠀

It’s okay to get it wrong.⠀

It’s okay to make mistakes, but how will you clean this one up? ⠀

Decide you’re worth it and stop tolerating less than you deserve. ⠀

Just decide. ⠀

And seek support where necessary. Support in the form of a trusted friend, family member, therapist or coach.

Always remember, you deserve the BEST ❤️
